PANEL BUILDER
REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Panel Builder 1 is responsible for the assembly of Electrical Control Panels. This role focuses on interpreting control panel layouts and electrical drawings. The Technician will be responsible for the layout and physical mounting of components to the back panel, wiring of all components, installation of control panel into an enclosure under normal supervision. All duties must be performed in accordance with all company policies and procedures.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Assist in running wires point to point from component to component and to termination.
- Read drawings to establish correct wiring/cable runs.
- Perform wire labeling at connection points.
- Successfully terminate various types of copper connectors.
- Assist in running wires point to point from component to component and to termination.
- Choose the correct tool or methodology for specific wiring tasks.
- Use provided drawings to layout wireways/din rail and components on back panels and enclosures.
- Route and bundle wires neatly to meet company and UL standards.
- Assist in point to point wiring of, including but not limited to, relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, electrical components, & Instrumentation.
- High School Diploma, GED, military equivalent and or 0-2 years-experience in panel production required preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Some experience with:
- Hand tools
- Power tools – including but not limited to: drills, jig saws, wireway/din rail cutters, grinders, knockout punches, band saws, and more
- Computer skills to include but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite, and more
- Medical physical and Drug Screening
- Must be able to:
- Lift 30lbs. frequently, and 70lbs. occasionally
- Stand for long periods of time, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing ladders
- Perform all required tasks in a safe manner
QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST
REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION MANAGER
The primary function of the Quality Assurance Specialist is to inspect, test and sample materials, parts or products for defects and any deviations from specifications. The Quality Assurance Specialist will address issues that do not meet customer specification and company quality standards. All duties must be performed in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Inspects finished products by confirming products meet drawings and specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; document and communicate required corrections and ensure defective product is not delivered to the customer.
- Read, understand and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, wiring schematics and diagrams.
- Monitor and inspect workmanship and performance of electrical personnel and maintain UL and customer requirements for continuous improvement.
- Know and practice all OSHA safety rules, regulations, and recommendations.
- Identify and assist in process improvement measures
- Documents inspection results by completing inspection reports and checklists; documenting corrective action and maintaining records.
- Discussing inspection results with those responsible for products and recommending necessary corrective actions.
- Ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail with the task at hand.
- Keeps inspection and measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; and notifying management when repairs are necessary.
Position requirements may include but may not be limited to:
- An Associate Degree in Engineering, military equivalent, and or 2 years of electrical panel shop experience preferred
- Good written and oral communication skills required.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a must. Experience with AutoCad is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, drawings and sketches
- Having a solid understanding of medium- and high-voltage systems and electrical instrumentation is a must
- Is proficient at:
- Interpreting electrical schematics / layout drawings
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
- Identifying deficient electrical and mechanical design or workmanship
- Ability to plan and organize work activities with a focus on efficiency.
- Experience in the use of digital multi-meter and other related test equipment.
- Perform all required tasks with minimal instruction and limited supervision
